The Average Deviation is calculated as follows:
| 1. | Calculate the mean (average) of a group of numbers |
| 2. | Calculate the deviation by subtracting the number from the mean of the group of numbers |
| 3. | Ignore an any negative numbers |
| 4. | The average deviation is the mean of the deviations resulting from the above process |
