A quartile is the middle of one of the halves of the data.
| 1. | Quartile #1 is the median of the lower half the population. |
| 2. | Quartile #2 is the median of the middle half of the population and is the same as the median of the entire population. |
| 3. | Quartile #3 is the median of the upper half of the population. |
Quartile analysis is a method to study the properties that are the most similar in value to the subject property without setting an artificial maximum and maximum.
