Question: Under the general description section of the improvements section of the URAR, there are three choices for “type” of unit.  They are "Det", "Att", and "S-Det/End Unit".

I’m not sure what "S-Det/End Unit"  is.  I have never checked that box.

The reason for my question is I’ve got a reviewer on an attached unit, who is asking for me to change it to "S-Det/End Unit" and I’d like to know what I’m checking, before I check it..

Answer:  An "S-Det/End Unit" is the end unit of group of rowhouses (townhouses).  (Appendix D, Page 21).  The FHA definition is the only one I know of and, therefore, use this definition on any appraisal.
