Question:  I recently did an appraisal on a manufactured home(conventional loan). The exterior has vinyl siding. Needless to say, the HUD plate was no where to be found. The lender wants me to find it.  I told them I would not remove the siding. If someone else does it, I would  go back out there.  Isn't there a web site that you can obtain the HUD plate information from?  Just trying to save some time because, of course, they are blaming me.  Thanks for the help.

It is the lender's responsibility to secure the Data Plate information from another source.
