Intangible Property is a type of personal property that has no value in itself but derives value from what it represents.

 

Intangible property includes non-physical assets such as franchises, trademarks, patents, copyrights, goodwill, equities, securities, and contracts, as distinguished from physical assets such as facilities and equipment.

 

Intangible property is usually personal property.
