The Federal Reserve Board sets and controls Government Monetary Policy. Monetary Policy consists of credit regulation devices including:
| • | Federal reserve discount |
| • | Reserve requirement |
| • | Federal open market committee |
Fiscal policy affects the availability of money and interest rates. Increased government debt increases inflation, which in turn increases interest rates. The opposite is also true.
