Estate

An Estate is the degree, quantity, nature, and extent of ownership a person (or entity) has in real estate. To be an estate, ownership is (or may become) possessory with ownership measured in terms of its duration

•	An estate can be longer than, shorter than, or equal to one's lifetime.

•	An estate is possessory. The right to use real estate is not an estate.
