The lender client is "the party or parties who engage an appraiser (by employment or contract) in a specific assignment." (USPAP 2008 Definitions Section).
The name of the party who ordered the appraisal goes in this field. At no time can a person who orders the appraisal have the appraiser use another's name as the client.
